What I’m offering…

With the news of so many dance studios shuttering due to the impact of COVID-19, I am offering No-Co$t Portrait Sessions to dancers, performers, and body workers in the greater Los Angeles area. My aim is to contribute my services as a photographer first and foremost to help the dance community, as well as others whose livelihood requires physicality, and has been deeply impacted by COVID-19: dancers, performance artists, actors, singers, musicians, roller skaters, healers, athletes…

In the interest of helping to dismantle white, cis, hetero, patriarchal, able-bodied dominance, priority will be given to people of marginalized and underrepresented communities including (but not limited to): Black, Latinx, Chicanx, Asian, Filipinx, Indigenous, Middle Eastern, LGBTQIA+, Non-Binary, Disabled, Plus-Size…

Some Details…

Each Portrait Session will take place outdoors and at a safe distance from each other, using natural or ambient light. I’ll be photographing using either 35mm or 120 film, and you’ll receive high res scans of all the images I take.

Don’t fit the criteria? I also offer sliding scale Portrait Sessions for individuals in other fields of work, and those who benefit from white, cis, hetero, ableism.

If you’d like to support this endeavor monetarily, I’ve set up a Ko-fi to help cover the costs of purchasing film and processing. Any amount you're willing to contribute to cover these costs is a huge help and greatly appreciated! Click here to check out my Ko-fi.

A little about me…

I fell in love with dance and photography around the same time, and have been doing one or the other in different forms over the last 20 years. Since 45 took office, I have been looking to contribute my photography skills in more meaningful ways than perpetuating white, cis, hetero, patriarchal, capitalism (which unfortunately used to be my primary use for photography), and the uprising over the last few months has given me the push to GO FOR IT.
